Enhanced Health & Safety Protocols
Health and SafetySchools continue to follow our existing stringent health and safety protocols, including:
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys and surfaces
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access.
During this time of enhanced concern, all school leadership team members are continuing to stay up-to-date with the latest state and local guidelines, licensing requirements, and CDC guidelines regarding the safety and well-being of your child. With a clear appreciation of the trust you place in them, HOK commits to follow stringent health and safety requirements as well as to meet or exceed the guidelines from local and state officials.
Schools have implemented enhanced procedures to limit the spread of COVID-19 and are frequently communicating with families and staff to convey the enhanced measures in place within their school.

- Security starts at the door: Parents have to use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to gain entry into the building. Children are released ONLY to those individuals who have been listed on enrollment records and who have been confirmed by identification check.
- Our outside play areas use a rubberized surface* or soft synthetic turf instead of wood chips, sand or gravel. All perimeter and playground gates are locked and monitored so children can enjoy outdoor play safely. Staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR.
